There are a lot of do it yourself home inspection checklists that available and you can definitely use them to do the home inspection yourself but the fact of the matter is that it is not easy to detect the hidden things that the seller has corrected and which as an untrained person will not be visible to you.
The most annoying things are in the plumbing section as well as in the electrical settings.
The other major are is the drainage as well as the septic tanks.
The bigger things like kitchen will not go unnoticed but even in the kitchen the plumbing is one thing which as a new home buyer you will be not able to fathom by yourself and will need the help of a experienced home inspector armed with a home inspection report software and a thorough and comprehensive inspection checklist.

Interesting home inspection checklist..
But I'm afraid to try that home inspection all by myself as what you have mention i guess i can't handle those septic tanks.
I'm from Bridgeport Multi Family Homes .
Very interesting blog. Alot of blogs I see these days don't really provide anything that I'm interested in, but I'm most definately interested in this one. Just thought that I would post and let you know.
